How to integrate a GPS tracker with a web-service?
openGTS Tracking is a software which provides web-based GPS tracking services for a "fleet" of vehicles.
What I understand here is that this software will give me data received from the hardware (?). I will pass on this information from the client side to the server side.
There will be a website which will act like a server (web service) and another website will act like a client. The client website will ask for a data from the server website.

Basically, this question is about - "what needs to be done", rather than "how to do it".
There's no-one at your company who even knows how to approach this?
Let's be honest here, Anisha. To tell you anything useful, I would need to actually read OpenGTS's documentation. Which I won't do because you're being paid to do so and I'm not.
The parts I did skim (couldn't help myself) make it look like OpenGTS is the server-side website.
If you really do need expertise for this job that your company doesn't have, you can use our job board to get it.
Thanks for the spanking Dugan, I needed it.
I reached to this link which has a pdf named "Web Services Guide". This pdf
tells that this software does have the facility of web-services. We can query
and retrieve the data from this website. I also checked the Java API of
openGTS which has a configuration option for enabling the web-services.
Besides, I "knew" you would be posting here. :-)
