How to distribute software

I was wondering what would be a good, no-cost way to distribute software that I wrote? And what would be a good way to make it free/open source?

No sure I understand what you are getting at here. You don't have to do anything special to make your software open source, you just chose a license (probably GPL or BSD), and host the project online somewhere. Check out someplace like SourceForge if you don't have or want your own site.

Hey,

there has been a thread about that topic about one week ago. I think you'll find most of the good answers there: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ht=sourceforge

I might look into github and SourceForge.
