How to disable speedstep in CentOS?


Hi, everyone.

Is there any way to disable intel speedstep in CentOS? I'm using Xeon e5 2670 v2

Which kernelversion?

I think you can disable that in the bios.

Either, as Keruskerfuerst already said, disable it in your BIOS/UEFI firmware, or use tools like cpufrequtils or cpupower to set your CPU to the performance power profile.

Just out of curiosity, what is the reasoning behind disabling powermanagement?
