The creation of the executable depends probably a lot on the language used..if you're using KDevelop, doesn't it have some kind of "build" thing? What language are you writing the project in? If it's C, C++, Java or something you could use gcc..

I am using C/C++, I can build the project using KDevelop and its running fine on my system, but the problem is i want to run the object file on another Linux system. When i use the following command on that system in the directory which consists of all the object files. it gives me the following error messages.
./xmlSync

bash: No such a file or a directory

and when i run

./xmlSync.o
it gives me an error message.

bash: ./xmlSync.o: Cannot execute binary file
Did you copy across xmlSync? Depending upon your set up it will be (probably) in a directory called bin. The actual directory can be defined by the TARGET variable in the *.pro file that Kdevelop creates for your project.

An xxx.o file is just an object file, one or more of which need to be 'linked' with eg various system libs to produce a full executable program.
