Unhappy how to create a forum ?


hi every body,
I administrate a LAN ( around 50 machines ) runnig linux and window$, i want , I have a web server, I want to create a forum for our users using apache/php.
can someone help me or give me a document or link,

You can find some projects in freshmeat concerning php forums.

Forumotion.com is who i use
i have a phpbb forum with them. I like it. IMO worth every penny

You have to find a CMS(Content Management System), there are quite a few, most based on php. This forum runs on vbulletin I believe.

Content Management Systems can provide for ad hoc or structured input of user content, but are not the same as what is commonly called a 'forum' (such as this one) although there seems to be some blurriness where the two are distinct. phpBB was one of the early products, and there are others like vBulletin (upon which I think this forum is based). Forum Software Reviews has a good list of some packages. A Google search for 'internet forum software' produces other good references.
