how do i hook an interrupt


i am writing a real mode kernel and cannot figure how to
read and write to the interrupt table without ether corrupting it or causing a linker error
does anybody know how to r/w the interrupt table in protect

And what does linker have to do with interrupts ?

because of the .com format,
some data types such as void interrupt (*)(...) cause linker errors but its probably because the incompetent linker.
