How do I build a new Font and have it work on a printer?

:hattip: Howdy, from the Radio Ranch!

I'm interested in building a new font and font table(?) that will
print out on a printer (dot-matrix or laser). I don't really know
how to "program" so it would have to be simple and fast. I'd
like to give you one of the characters, but if I could do that, I
could do the rest. :D I alwo need to know how to increase
the font size on the printer from 8 to 48.

I've looked at some of the font sites and didn't find what I was
looking for, so I thought I'd ask here.

The computer is a Dell 2400 series with 768 gigs of RAM.
I don't have a modern printer, I'll have to buy one that would
do the job. Currently, I have an old Okidata 82A, LOL!

it disabled or crippled up."
