how can i run this user_mode_linux!!!!!????

hi,

I have a machine running rh9. I need to run user__mode_linux on my machine . I have read the manual . So i applied the patch and compiled the kernel accordingly. But i cannot undesstand how to use the root filesystem or how to use it, Please help me with this
