Good PHP/HTML and Graphical editors?

Hi

I'm about a weeks way of installing Gentoo (just two more exams now), and was wondering which HTML/PHP editors are good. On a project we just finished using php/postgreSQL I was using Dreamweaver while my co-student used vim. It went ok since we stuck to separate files, but noticed how tediously slow he was compared to me when writing html code. At the same time the color coding in vim was really great, and I could get used to this had I only not been confined to the shell like interface in vim. I _need_ easy copy-paste and clicking where my cursor is supposed to be, this just wasn't that easy with vim.

I'm taking a course next year where I'm planning on using PHP/postgreSQL to make a massive multiplayer online web-game (mmowg), and at the same time get used to linux since one of the other courses is about other OS's. Also, I'm getting bored of windows and need something fresh . Problem is I'm guessing I'll miss some essential programs i've gotten used to.

All in all, I'm asking for recommendations for:
PHP/HTML editing, WYSIWYG capabilities preferred. I'm used to Dreamweaver.
Graphical drawing/rendering (2D and 3D), I'm used to Photoshop and 3DS MAX.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Have a look at 'gvim', that will allow you to place your cursor with your mouse, as for syntax highlighting, in command mode, issue 'syntax enable', you can also make a vim script (a file that ends with a .vim) to enable commands you would issue in command mode when the program starts.
