Question Gnome Ide

I have recently installed RH with GNOME on one of my machines at home. One of the aspects that has really interested me in C++ programming. I have a good deal of experience with both MS VC++ and Borland Builder. I was wondering if anyone could reccommend a comparable IDE for GNOME. I really don't want to spend a lot on this little project or go back to manually compiling, linking and debugging if it can be avoided. I found KDevelop for KDE but I really would like something along those lines that is GNOME specific.

Thanks,
<jav>
