I was trying to write a few UI's with Glade, and producing C++ code.
Originally the configure would fail, as it was trying to find gtkmm-2-0 when I had 2.4 installed. By altering the configure.in file and rerunning the autogen.sh script the configure error disappeared. The code failed to compile giving errors such as:
Code:
slot is not a member of SigC
(I haven't got the exact errors on me now)
Normally problems like that are due to my own errors when coding, but I'm not sure how to fix it since this code is being produced by Glade?
Finally today, I'm getting configure errors again. I removed all the files in the project except for the .glade file, loaded it back up, and rewrote all the source code. After altering configure.in to update for gtkmm, the error I'm getting now is:
Code:
error: cannot find input file: Makefile.in
There *is* a Makefile.in in the src/ directory, but then it complains of other files missing. Shouldn't Glade automatically put these things in the correct place??!
Glade seems awkward enough at times anyway, since whenever I want to regenerate source code the files dont always update properly (instead of producing makefile.in, they will create makefile.in_new for example). I'm almost looking forward to putting it all into KDevelop and staying away from anything which produces UI code >.<
