git svn - how to push svn information to another git repo
Hi!
I have this git repo where I'm keeping track of an svn repo. I don't do any real work on it. Now, suppose I wanted to set up _another_ repository so that I do some real work, or if someone wants to start working with git svn and doesn't want to go through the hussle of syncing with svn (it's taking days to sync svn information if you start from scratch).
As a test, I just pushed a couple of branches into the other git repo, and then I added the svn information to .git/config on the second repo. Then I do a git svn fetch on the second repo and, even though this repo already has like almost all of the information that it should be pulling from svn, it's still going through the process of syncing with svn "from scratch" (it won't create anything new, it's got all the revisions from svn, but it will still go through the process of setting up everything from scratch which will take days). Is there something else I can do so that git svn can see that there's plenty of things already set up so that this process is skipped?
Thanks in advance.

Reason: typo, adding something to make the scenario clearer
