Getting l2id of the m0use

Yes, you read correctly. I hate ein mouse! It plagues my labs at work.

I have a need to switch between 2 boxes (1 is unfortunately XP and one is an old version of QNX). I am just learning Linux, been using about 2 months.

My problem lies in the fact that the A/B switch I am using is mechanical, and when I switch away from the QNX box and back again, the mouse has locked the computer.

I have 32 sets of these computers in various *NIX configs (redhat and mandrake as well), but I was wondering if there is a way to kill the mouse in the QNX/Windows config.

I am willing to use cron as a first lesson/experiment, but as for any other programming I will have to rely on youzes.

I know as much that on every QNX box the process ID is variable.

And that is ALL i know

I have only been using the Linux seriously for about 2 months, so as much handheld guidance that can be given will be appreciated!
