I like Kwrite. But this doesn't mean that it's the best. The simple is that we develope our habbit to some text editor and then we find it comfortable to use it even against some very rich and advace text editor.

I didnt read every post, got to about page 6 then decided to post, alot of your complaints are based on UNIX editors not being like Windows.. What came first? The Windows programs are the ones that changed the way everything worked, to try and make sure that other operating systems werent compatable with it. So people using windows, then trying another OS would get lost. Commercial Unices, OSS BSD's, Linux distros, if you use one you can be familiar with the rest, and you complain about them not being "standardized"? If you'd been programming for 18 years, mate... You'd be complaining about Windows.
