Future of the Standard Template Library

SGI, the company that wrote the Standard Template
Library, is in Chapter11 backruptcy. Will the fate
of SGI have any inpact on the future availability of
the Standard Template Library for C++ programming?
Or has SGI given the Library to public domain?

STL has a future but i am wondering for the furure for some other open source projects like tldp, ltp, fam.
They are generally sponsored by SGI.
I think SGI will not die.IBM, HP or other corporation will buy SGI.
