freeRADIUS

i am writing client for freeradius using c language.
i have constructed radius packet to authenticate a user.
the user is not authenticated because the password field is not
correct ( i think) . i am using password like
password=xor(pwd,md5(req authenticator + secret)).

plz help me why it is not authenticated.
