-fprofile-generate in conjunction with additional optimization flags?

When using -fprofile-generate and/or -fprofile-use, is it OK to use other optimization flags?

Or are they ignored?

Or do they influence the generated profile?

If they do, do they do so in a good way?

Or a bad way?

For example,

Code:
-fprofile-generate -O3 -march=native -mtune=native
Is that advised?

Thanks!
