Environment variable..


while i installing the tomcat for java servlet.. that would ask for setting the environment variables CATALINA_BASE and CATALINA_HOME.. how can i set the environment variable.

If you are using bash/ksh you set environment variables like this:

export VARIABLE_NAME=variable_value
