Hi,
I am feeling guilty now because I originally posted this in
Slackware forum thinking it might be a distro specific issue, but 3days, 1bump and zero responses.
What I have: Machine #2 in sig, slack-11-2.6.19.1
EconoROM3 (DOS tools)
^connected via Quatech SPP-100 PCMCIA parrallel port adapter (works in winblow$) - though the 'address' reported in XP changes every reboot.
Tasking 8051 V7r1 compiler (Win32 binaries)
What I want: To be able to use ^ in linux.
What I have tried: installing wine to run the tasking toolchain.
cc51.exe (compiler) seems to be running, but never can find the file, even with fully specified path, and doesnt seem to recognize options:
wine <path>/cc51.exe -O<optim> -S -s <pathtosource>/source.c
also missing is a way to leave the license manager running in background.
finally after generating a hex file (when/if I ever get there) I'll be needing to send it out the pcmcia 'parallel port' to the ER3.
the SPP-100 seems supported in 'nix as I do find pcmcia0.0 is recognized/set up by yenta.
any pointers
greatly appreciated
