DOS commands

I am writing a program, in which I wish to execute two DOS commands. The first will open a session on the AS400 and the second will open another program. The problem I am having is that the first command is executing but the second doesn’t. I assume it is waiting until the AS400 session finishes but I need it to execute while this session is running. Does anybody know how to do this?

Without more information it's impossible to say. How do you do it so far?

P.S. Don't forget to post code in [code] tags.

Like the previous poster asked: are you sure you mean DOS?

Or do you mean a Windows .bat file (that happens to run in a so-called "DOS prompt")? Big difference.

If you're running Win9x or higher, you can preface your command with "start". In which case, it'll start the first job, run it in the background, and concurrently run the second job, too.
