Database Patch Management
The company I am at recently went through a round of layoffs ( yeah right, the economy is improving ~ I will believe it when *I* see it ).
So naturally as one of the survivors I inherited a project from one of my peers. All we knew about his work on this project was that it kept him really busy. But now we understand why. He has been manually managing database patches from 7 different environments for this project. Talk about a NIGHTMARE. It is a tedious process that is error prone and convoluted. The database is Oracle 11g in a RAC configuration.
I am not sure if this is enough information, but does anyone know of a software package that would automate this process?
