CVS modules can be checked out locally, but not over pserver..what has to be changed?

Okay, I've used CVS for awhile as an end user, but not as the admin.

This time however, I drew the short straw and was elected to make a few changes as admin.

I added some new directories/modules in the cvs repository for our members to check out. At first I thought I'd done alright, because I could do a local checkout into my home directory.

Pserver didn't get the hint though...it hasn't picked up on the fact that there are new directories in the repository. So what do I have to change to get past that?

I haven't changed anything as far as pserver is concerned, the usual admin had that all set up and running...all I did was add some new directories and use cvs init on them to set them up as modules.

So...any advice/suggestions would be appreciated, I'm still new enough that I don't know what else needs to be set up.

Thanks!

Check permissions (for directories and for files). That's probably the reason.

Got it. I forgot I had done the cvs init while logged in as root.

The modules belonged to the correct group, but their CVSROOT directories still belonged to root.

D'oh!
