Creation of Linux Install Package

Hi,

You all know how Linux packages come, with a configure script which tests the systems configurations, Makefile which lets you do make, which compiles the project and make install, which installs the project to your system.

I want to create such an installation package for my first Complete Open Source software, The project currently is in the form of a KDevelop Project. And I am releasing only source packages, because I do not know how to make the install packages.

It's a GUI tool for MD5Sum, with capability to sum selected files, selected directory, including ability to recurse through sub-directories, and to verify sums of the same.

I saw such a tool available, but it was only for Windows, this ones for Linux, I would be glad if you would help me out testing it

as of yet I have only released KDevelop project directory in tar.bz2 format
