Unhappy Could not access keyboard function keys( F1, F2 etc...)

I have written one application using GPM( General Purpose Mouse ) package. Apart from the mouse keys, Alphabets keys i can access, But I cannot access function keys like F1,F2,etc....

Application is very simple and using Gpm_Getc(stdin). Is there any API call i need to make to access keyboard keys?
