Compiling emacs

Hello,
I am trying to change just three lisp archives of emacs, and whenever I want to compile the code, I do like:
./configure
make

Is there any option to compile only the code I have changed and not to wait until all the emacs code is compiled?

I takes a long time to execute the "make" command, I am just a newbie, I do not know a lot, it would be grate if someone could help me.
Thanx,
Aizkorri.

M-x byte-compile-file

Is this a core emacs lisp feature? If not just do a (Esc X == M-x) M-x byte-compile-file then load the resulting .elc with a M-x load-file.

Thanks a lot.
Otherwise, is was a waste of time to wait for compiling all the code again, and again.
