Command failed: device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument
 

hi all
I want to use dm-crypt to encrypt removable disk but when I run this command :
cryptsetup -y create maildir /dev/sdb1
and error appear :
Command failed: device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument

Hi I get exactly the same error trying to decrypt a truecrypt volume on Vector lite 6.0
Running truecrypt 6.2a which I installed from source, and followed the Readme.

All I can see from the Readme is that I need to have device-mapper to run it from the command line. Since I have kernel 2.6.27.12 I assume I don't need to patch it.
