Clusters - Paralell processing

Does anyone have a linux cluster running out there

I'm wondering how to go about programming linux to take advantage of more than one pc in a cluster, and how to program the o/s to utilise them efficently (at all actually)

any light on some min specs and languages would be good

You should check out MPI (Message Passing Interface). While in school I worked on setting up a Beowulf Cluster, albeit only for a short time, the programs written for it were going to be created using the MPI API in C.

Thanks for the reply yonyonson,

Quite a few sites i have visited talked about MPI.

What i am interested in is how to actually get it started,
what distro is best, and what do i have to start learning
in order to begin a cluster - i want to use the cluster to render
animation and stuff. I would appreciate absolute beginner information.
