Can't compile c++ app *** Exited with status: 77 ***


Hi!
I'm trying to compile a c++ application in KDevelop in Ubuntu 8.10. I get this error on Distclean:

Do you have a compiler/toolchain installed ? Ubuntu doesn't include any build tools by default.

I have libtool 2.2.4

It looks like you need to install the C++ compiler (g++) and probably other things as well. I believe doing a "sudo apt-get install build-essential" will install most of the packages you'll need.
