Built in java compiler?

I am using RedHat Linux 9.0 (2.4.20-8). Is there a built in java compiler of java. I know I can download from java.sun.com and run it in linux. But just wanted to know whether there is an inbuilt java compiler!

I am sorry if I have used the wrong word.

BTW by Built in I mean, installed by default along with the operating system.
