best resource for learning shell scripts?


I asked this years ago, never did it, and I can't find the thread. So what's the best resource for starting with almost zero shell script skill and working your way up to maybe intermediate level? Something with practice excersizes, like a series of problems to solve would be good.

I'm tring this one right now, just wondering if anyone has a better idea:

I learned via the Advanced Bash Scripting howto. It's very heavy and slow-going, but it's meant to be read in order and the pace is right.
