Question Barcode Scanner - Need to change carriage return for a TAB

Does anyone know how to make a barcode scanner spawn a TAB instead of a <ENTER> via form input (html, php format)?

You may be able to do it.

If it's a serial interface you may be able to do it (usually requires manufacturer software though). If it's PS/2 or USB you'll program the scanner to tab using the barcodes found in the manual. If you don't have the manual, check POSGuy.com for downloads.

Full disclosure: I do work for POSGuys.com and write about it here.
