Backup script needed
I am currently running a debian server at work that I used to pull "Ghost" images when rebuilding PC's. The main Ghost server is a W2K box at our main site. It's in on an Active Directory domain, but I have no problems getting to it.
However if we pull an image from the main box, it takes 1.5 to 2 hrs to ghost a PC. From my little Debian Samba server, it takes 8-15 minutes. With our overkill on bandwidth, I don't know why it takes so long from the W2K box. It takes our techs 45 minutes at the same site the box is at to pull an image!
Anyway, I want to ensure the images stay up to date with the main box. I would like to know how to do this. Will rsync handle this? Do I need to create a script?
I would like it to compare the two files, if different, delete the one on my server and get a copy from the main server.
