It's becoming clear that I won't make it through my indoctrination as a "real" programmer without some exposure to ASP, even though I would rather spend my time learning PHP. Since I'm not particularly eager to install yet another Microsoft application, I'm looking at Apache::ASP.
My question is, does Apache::ASP provide a complete-enough implementation that I can reasonably learn the syntax and design features that I will be using when, inevitably, I
am using Microsoft's version? I don't actually need the code I write to cross platforms, since it's just a learning tool for me, but I don't want to learn habits that will have to be unlearned once I'm forced to do things "the Microsoft way". Any experience shared would be welcome.
Edit to add URL in case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about
