Any HBasic Experts Here?

I downloaded the 0.9.9f RPM and installed under Mandrake 9.2 (which had the required prerequisites already). When starting up I get the following error:
------------------------------
Error loading shared library
Description: HBasic tries to load a shared library which contains methods and components. Loading the library failed due to the following reason.

/usr/local/hbasic/packages/hbasic_stdgui_1.so: undefined symbol: _ZNK9QCheckBox9hitButtonERK6QPoint

Error handling: This is normally a problem in the C++ code of the library. Try to send an error report to the developer of the shared library and wait for error correction .

If the error message is "undefined symbol __dso_handle" try to add "--with-dso_handle" in HBasic configure statement and compile again
----------------------------

Anyone have a clue as to what I'm missing? Want to exhaust the possibilities before resorting to compiling source with that option it mentions in last line of err mesg. Starts up anyway but crashes when I try and use the form designer. Looks pretty slick though; they should have called it VB++ TIA
