anjuta does not compile my c++ code


i have installed ubuntu 9.04 ultimate edition(2.2). But i am disappointed to see that anjuta doesnt compile my c++ code.it has build,compile and execute option but it cant be clicked.i checked the preference for installed plugin and there shows c++ and java plugin are not installed and i cant activate them.i installed build-essential and g++. but it doesnt work. please can u tell me what i can do. i dont wanna use other compilers. i would very much appreciate if anyone can help.

How did you install anjunta? The recommended way is through the installer (package manager), which for Ubuntu is synaptic.

i am using ultimate edition so i didnt had to install anjuta. it was installed already.
whats the prob then??

Did you create a project for you code? I don't have anjunta installed on my machine so I'm not 100% sure how it works.

Anjuta doesnt compile c++ code

To compile and execute c++ code u dont need to make a project.the option for compile , build and execute is disabled in this edition. Im suffering this problem for a long time.its the only reason me and many other students dont use ubuntu.i tried 8.04 then 8.10 then this edition for anjuta. I hoped that this edition will fix the bug. But im disappointed.
