Accessing non Standard URL protocols in Linux


Evil Lyrics in Windows Only Software with an extensive Karaoke
library

i'm not sure how to describe this
i want to read the plain text contents of the karaoke files evil lyrics software filters it.

but they use a non stand protocol

Without really putting my head into too far, it appears that you have to download and install their app (of some kind), which I am guessing installs a file type/protocol link to the elkas URL. Their program probably converts/decodes the URL and possibly the lyric data. To the best of my abilities to guess, I'd say that you'd reverse engineer their program to see what it's doing, and write something to do the conversion in Linux.

You could always email them and ask for a Linux port. (=

they are very adament not too since it is coded in Visual Stupido.
