Accessing Internet

How would I write a program in perl that would access the internet, and check certain sites for info?

Need more specific details ... but you could start by looking at LWP:: modules and related...

I would like to write a program that would search through several sites i.e. wikipedia, encyclopedia britannica. Search through their pages, automatically finding all of the links, and pull information you ask for out of them.
