A vim question

I'm learning Vim and I using it for teaching myself ruby. the script I typed into it had
errors and I corrected the errors but when I run the code the same errors pop up. I copy and pasted the code into Pluma to see if the code worked there and it did no error. So what am I do wrong with Vim. I use :w to save after correct the errors. I'm I doing something wrong here thanks for any replys

It might help to see some samples of the errors and representative error messages.

'WILD' guess: maybe you're missing something in the filename (or directory), like
running mypgm.py but editing pgm..py
Can you run a terminal [shell] window, to do some commands on the file, like cat or sum (before&after editing)
Maybe paste the code into a different [simple] filename & try using that.

p.s. Welcome to LQ! Enjoy....

I'm with frankbell, hard to give feedback with no actual error messages or code to diagnose the problem.

Try this and run the script again:

Code:
:wq!
