I've been trying to permanently change the hostname of a couple machines running OS X 10.4. Using the hostname command will only change the hostname until after a reboot, after which it resets to the old hostname. If I manually change it in /etc/hostconfig by changing the HOSTNAME=-AUTOMATIC- to HOSTNAME=hostname, then it breaks my Apache/Tomcat.
Does anyone know how to change this without breaking my servers?
