Question Is HP-UX freeware.

Hi

I have been assigned a project of HP-UX deployment on HP integrity server. In that project I have to implement cluster and will have to connect with HP storage. So any one know where I can get HP-UX as a trial or free download so that I can get hands on on this OS. My expertise is Linux but don't have any idea about HP-UX. please assist me.

Thanks & Rgd

What do you find at the HP website?

Who assigned this---your employer? Are they prepared to pay as required?

Repeat: What does the HP website say? If HP does not provide for this, then we can't help you

googling around a bit indicates that HPUX only runs on PA-RISC or Itanium, so getting a download to try out on generic PC hardware would be useless. There are some links and information that I found at the bottom of the page here http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/U..._24565909.html.

Nope, HP_UX is not freeware. It costs around 400$ only for the OS itself - but you should check up with your vendor. HP_UX runs only on either a PARISC (Proliant series) which has been EOL'ed and the IA-64 Integrity series which is still supported.
