HP-UX to linux porting


Hi all,
i am currently trying to port HP-UX C++ codes to linux. I am new to this area, can somebody please point to some resources or documents that would help me in porting the code.
even a small help would be of great use to me..

What isn't working? Unless you're doing something very system dependent, C++ usually recompiles fine on other OS'

i am in the process of porting code, which had some HP-UX specific codes also it had some non portable thread codes( functions ending with _np).
so any document addressing these issues would be of great help to me.
