Adding a CUPS shared printer on snow leopard

Hi!

I've recently set up Canon MP140 on my debian box as a shared printer. It works locally, as I can print test page and other stuff, but I've stumbled upon a problem when I want to add it to my macbook as a ipp printer. It simply does not find the shared printer. I tried it adding manually using the linux's local ip address but it still says that the remote printer does not exist. Any suggestions? By the way, a windows computer has no problems finding the printer.

Thanks!

Do you have a firewall on your linux box?

If so open port 631

(Your windows box will be discovering the printer using samba on port 137/139)
