passwd help

What is the Mac equivalent of these linux commands?

passwd -d username
passwd -l username

On Mac the man page for passwd doesn't list a -d. It has a -l but it doesn't look like it does the same thing.

I'm not exactly sure what you want to do, please explain in English what you want to do and I'll tell you how to do in Mac OS X.

I want to allow a user to ssh into my mac server via ssh keys. They shouldn't be able to log in via ssh with a password or at the console.

Try to edit /etc/shadow and replace the passwd string with an 'x', and setup your ssh keys.
