Mled distro???? Ual,my god!!! It`s an untenable event. Congratulations, kikinovac! Good job!
Then, I d like to use Microlinux on a Dual Boot plan using an Huge kernel scheme. Unfortunately, after install I didnt have correct function and only Windows is operation. I think its a lilo.conf problem so I have another single and perfect Dual Boot Windows-Slack14.1 system and I copied its lilo.conf entrances for problematic Microlinux Dual boot system. But, it wasnt ok. I installed libva-intel-driver-1.2.1-x86_64-1alien.txz, however it is breaked down yet. Then, would you mind a way to use Intel Vga Card driver, dual boot and Huge kernel? |

For those of you who wonder what the MLED project is about. MLED is a full-blown production desktop based on Slackware Linux and the Xfce desktop environment, with many enhancements. Learn more about the project here: http://www.microlinux.eu/ Cheers from the sunny South of France, Niki |

Your problem doesn't seem to be MLED-specific, it's in fact several problems with plain Slackware. 1) Dual-booting Windows 2) Switching from the HUGE to the GENERIC kernel. 3) Configuring your video card. My advice: only slay one dragon at a time. You might want to take a look at this FAQ entry: http://www.microlinux.eu/faq.php#configure If you have an Intel card, switching to the GENERIC kernel is mandatory if you want to configure your card correctly. You might want to head over to the Slackware forum. Another advice: please open a specific thread if you have a problem, with a brief description of your problem. Avoid posting your technical details right after the announce of the forum's creation. Cheers, Niki |
Mr. Kikinovak, thanks!
I hope to solve gingerly! But I put my eyes in Mled because I have another HD instaled on the same Intel hardware system and Slackware 14.1 dind`t complain. Then I am questioning and looking for this `recompiled mandatory kernel situation`. I had alread read Mled Faq. Thanks again! Then, is it possible nouveua or another nedeed graphics drivers to be removed during Tag Files selection/Trim.sh script and breaking down my system now? |

I suggested you open a different thread, because this is the "Welcome to the MLED forum" thread, not the "I can't configure my video card" thread. Do this, and we'll see the rest later, step by step. Cheers, Niki |
I'm quite happy that MLED is back on LQ :)
I'm looking forward to having fruitful discussions here to help improve the MLED experience. |
Glad to see that MLED has it's own forum. Congrats kikinovak.
