Wireless on Lenovo 3000 N500
 
Has any one got Simply Mepis working with the BroadCom wireless card on the Lenovo 3000 N500? I will post the exact model once i get home from school this afternoon.

It's supposed to work OOTB with the kernel module iwlagn.

the Exact Model of WIFI card in the Lenovo 3000 N500 is The broad Com Corperation BCM 4312. Which i know for a fact works i8n all fversion s of ubuntu.

Are you trying to install MEPIS 8, 7, or earlier? -- In April I had a Dell in my Wednesday Linux Workshop which had a Broadcom (note spelling, this is the way they spell it on their web site) chip. Sorry, don't ask me which chip -- I don't remember & the owner says:

In any case, the chip wasn't working w/ MEPIS 7, & wouldn't work w/ Ubuntu 7.10; but worked OOTB w/ MEPIS 8.
