I think that you have to add your city, and close the Setup dialogue. Then log out of KDE and in again. Then change the applet to your city. Then twirl, and dip, sidestep, sidestep, swing your partner 'round and 'round. Then delete the Morgantown location so that yours is the only one left. Then hope it worked. It has for me in the past...
You forgot a step. Swing your MEPIS, dosey-do[sic?]!

Seriously, to apply a dance motif: if Linux is a square dance or some other slightly confusing but benign form of dance, then using Windows constitutes a dance with the devil.
