Sound Not Working on Mepis...

Hello:

I've installed Mepis, but can't get sound to work. I have an Asus A7N8x motherboard. I've pasted some specs below. Any help would be appreciated...

Try this first;

If it still does not work plan B.
Check as root alsamixer and make sure pcm amd master is not muted. If you are sure it is not muted rerun alsaconf.

Thanks so much!! Plan A & B worked. I made sure to turn up all the volumes half way and made sure all the lights were green in the kmix tabs.
Now I can groove to my house music.... http://www.ssradiouk.com/
