Panel Bar Problems

Hi

Does anyone know how to access/control the Panel Bar and the icons located there?

Mine has gne weird. The Panel is now at the top of the screen and all my icon have disappeared. I would like to put everything back the way it was.

Any help/guidance will be appreciated.

It would help if you told us which one of the many panels you're using. Some you can right click on to get a pop-up menu that will allow you to access preferences and configurations. Others require you to edit a configuration file in a text editor.

Sorry I did not know there was any other panels.
It is the basic panel with the start button the left corner, the four desktops next then various icons for applications.
On the right is the sysytem tray with icons, for time, wlan, volume, clipboard, synaptic etc.

Thanks for your input anyway

There are many panels to choose from. Your description sounds like your using GNOME (or one of it's forks), XFCE, LXDE, or KDE. You should be able to right click the panel on any of these to get a pop-up menu that will give you the ability to organize the panel however you'd like.

Somewhere on an available menu there should be an icon of four little squares that look like mechanical on/off switches: that's the Settings Manager. In there, open Panel and you will have all the options at your fingertips!

(The above is true in Xfce, at least, and there should be a corresponding Settings location in the other desktops.)
