I have tried Simply Mepis and Mepis Lite Live CDs on my daughters pc and both fail to recognize the Netgear MA111 USB wireless adapter that connects her computer to my home network. In fact Kubuntu could not find it either. Is it just because I am running live CD and not installs to HD? If install to HD will the adapter be found? So, far this is a showstopper in instaling Linux on her computer. Thanks for any help you can give. Linux newbie so be gentle.
There's an article on using your adapter within this site http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...icle&artid=239. Most wireless cards do take a little work to get going, so would surprised if a live cd would have been able to pick it up and just work with it, especially a USB one.
