Need help to install 'Frostwire' Deb package
Hello!
I downloaded the debian package from frostwire and its sitting on my desktop.
I cant remember any other way to install it except by right-clicking on the package, and choosing, 'Manage Package>Install'.
Nothing happens when I do that.
I recall at one time on another OS having the option to 'Save to disk'
or 'Open with debPackage installer'. I just chose the latter and my system did the rest.
But this time I did not get that option. I got the option to 'Open with /usr/lib/mime/debian-view (default)' or 'save to disk'.
Is debpackage installer something that I need to install from synaptic?
Thanks!

Just open a term, cd to your Desktop and (as root) do dpkg -i [debfile.deb]. E.g.
Code:
su
dpkg -i frostwire.deb
